Cork Coasters
Our cork coasters are made from 5mm thick fine grain cork. The fine grain allows a more detailed engrave and being 5mm thick (instead if 3mm) they are very durable as well. Each design is burned into the cork with just enough power to give a lasting image without creating soot.
Basic Slate Coasters
Our basic slate coasters (such as our Funny Quotes Slate Coasters) are engraved directly onto the raw slate. This provides an elegant, yet rustic look with the slate also being able to absorb condensation during the summer months. All slate coasters have foam pads on the bottom to protect your tables and counters.
Photo Slate Coasters
Our photorealistic slate coasters (such as our Panda Slate Coaster) are some of the most beautiful coasters you are bound to see. With these, the coasters are firts sanded smooth to 600 grit to give a perfectly smooth surface for the engraving, which results in the best possible image. Each piece is then coated with a very thin layer of oil which hardens onto the slate surface. This process darkens the slate to give a higher contrast and a better image. It also protects the slate surface from scrathces. Although the price is higher, the result is exceptional.
